Roppongi at Midday
During a four-day stay in Nishiazabu, I spent my final day exploring nearby Roppongi on foot. Known for its blend of business towers, luxury residences, cultural venues and nightlife, Roppongi reveals a different character beneath the harsh midday sun.
Beginning at street level among expressways, apartment blocks and towering buildings, the series gradually rises to the observation deck of Roppongi Hills. From above, Tokyo unfolds in every direction, revealing the city's remarkable scale and density beneath clear blue skies.
The journey ends with a distant view of Mount Fuji on the horizon. Visible from the top of Roppongi Hills on a clear day, it offers a quiet reminder that even in the heart of Tokyo, nature continues to define the skyline.
